In Celtic mythology Brigid was the pagan goddess associated with Spring. These crosses were woven to celebrate Imbolc, the feast held to welcome the arrival of Spring. They were made of rushes and hung in kitchens to ward off evil and prevent fires. When Christianity arrived, she became St Brigid.
This lovely rendering of her cross is approx 2 cm tall and 2 cm wide.
Comes complete with 10K gold chain.
